It’s officially October, and it’s also officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Although you should be checking up on your breasts regularly. In case you don’t know how to do a self breast exam, you should ask your doc to show you how.

Also, if you live in the nyc area, you should check out New York Women First, a government funded organization geared towards keeping the women of NYC healthy. Not only can you find info on breast cancer like places in NYC that offer free or low cost mammograms, but you can also find information on other women’s issues such as diabetes, domestic violence, osteoporosis, pregnancy and more.

So I urge you women and young girls to visit the site, and take care of yourselves! <333

SO it’s pouring rain here in Gotham City,  and what better way to utilize the dreariness of it all than to curl up with a good book!? It’s one of the things I love about rainy days, along with the smell of water, and the fact that the rain just makes me happy for some reason. Anywho, I’m currently reading Rage by Jonathan Kellerman. It’s one of his Alex Delaware novels, and it’s really getting good.

Fashion Week is right around the corner and as someone who consideres herself a fashion addict, I can honestly say I’m really excited!As we all know, many designers showcase their upcoming collections during the event, and the coverage will be insane! Personally, as much as I love the fashions, I try not to get too caught up in the media driven hype since most of the time I totally disagree with what they deem as the new “it” line. However, there are a few designers that I am excited about: BCBG Max Azaria, Miss Sixty, Betsey Johnson, and Lacoste.
