So naturally I was on Polyvore creating outfits I dream of, and I came across these adorable Gummi Bear candy inspired earrings! Talk about cute enough to eat! All I could think of as I made my set was how much I wanted a pair….and then my mind switched to how much I wanted a bag of gummi bears at that moment. PERFECT combination! lol Luckily for me, Polyvore has a “buy it” option, as well as the link to the store, so off I went to check out the mechanics of this sweet little accessorie.

Well the year is already a day old, and like everyone else on the planet, I’ve got some goals that I want to achieve this year. The thing is though, that I’m not really good with keeping these resolutions. LOL They usually fade into oblivion by March. I think that happens because I always have this ambitious laundry list of things that I want to accomplish and in the end, I’m just overwhelmed with how much I “need” to do, and end up either half assing it, or putting it off until never. Well, the year is pretty much over and it’s time to say “Hello” to 2009 and “Goodbye” to ‘08. It’s also a time to reflect on the past events of the year. It was a cool year in my opinion, I mean, we’ve elected our first ever “Black” president, Sen. Barack Obama and we all went green in an 11th hour attempt to save our planet. Also this year in La La Land (aka Hollywood), Britney didn’t overdose on her own celebrity. WOOT!

It’s  been a great year for music and fashion…aside from the gossip and train wrecks (Hi Amy!).The two always gone hand in hand, so it’s no surprise that there’s been some really awesome creativity going on and you know wouldn’t be a proper entertainment year-end rundown without mentioning Rihanna, who had her shine in both!

Contrary to the color forcast for 2009 being yellow, I think I’ve found my own “color of the year.” Seriously, I believe I’m verging on obsession with this color…thanks to Polyvore (don’t act like you weren’t expecting it). Anywho, the color I’m really feeling for next year is teal, however, I’m also in love with coral and various shades of purple. Why? Honestly, I don’t know. It could be because “blue” has been the color that I’ve gravitated towards since forever, so rolling with teal isn’t that far of a stretch.

So, awhile ago, I made a few posts about the fashion disasters of Katie Perry, Lil’ Mama, Raven and Beyonce. I kinda felt upset about it for some time, because I felt like someone was out to get these ladies, and decided to make them look like FOOLS in public. And so, in an attempt to prove to myself that looking like who-did-it-and-won’t-admit-it is not the only look these chicas have to choose from, I went pic hunting. I actually left out Beyonce’s better looks, because, well, I don’t think she’s had that many WTF moments in her fashion choices lately. As we all know, Rihanna for the most part has had the best fashion stylist this whole year. Aside from a very few small instances where her outfits were questionable, the girl has been impeccably dressed from head to toe. Many people are saying her style is edgy, punk-ish, or funky (the good kind) and I guess you could say that, because ever since she cut her hair, she has been pushing the envelope for what is considered stylish dress for ladies within the R&B/Hip Hop  and Pop communities.

I have to say, in the begining I hated Britney with a passion. Then that feeling morphed into apathy and then during and after her “episode” I started to feel bad for her. BUT NOW! NOW? Britney has gained some admiration and respect from moi. I mean, c’mon. For most of us, if we’d gone through what she has we’d have curled up in a ball and died (and we’ll never really know what she was going through). She’s totally cleaned up her life, and with Britney seemingly on the road to all things good, I thought why not give her some props with a Style Star moment? Seriously, with her new life, show, album and all, it’s totally being reflected in her everyday appearance. Hopefully those days of panty-less Britney are long gone, and we can look forward to seeing more stylish, pulled together looks like this one she stepped out in on her December 6 shopping trip to Kitson in LA.

That’s what Associated Press’s Samantha Critchell is saying on Yahoo! Buzz. According to the article, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman states that yellow is “the color of the future” because it reminds us of “warmth, sunshine and cheer — all the good things we’re in dire need of right now.” I kinda have to agree. Yellow does make me happy, that is, if it’s the right shade. Pale yellow tends to make me think of pee….lol but that’s just because I’m a bit unhinged……

You know, I figure with all of the different types of styles, there are two variations of it. Regardless if you consider your fashion sense to be preppy, goth, urban, or even princess; there’s one of two catagories we ultimately fall into: Girl Hot and Guy Hot. What’s the difference? Well, it’s not as obvious as it sounds, but then again maybe it is. Here’s my idea on what separates “Girl” from “Guy” hot. And just for the record, I don’t there is anything wrong with which ever one you like personally, just as long as you own it. O_<.
