Yep! I’m going to introduce to you guys my favorite fictional people. I’ve always loved characters who are well written. Who doesn’t? I especially love when the author really gives thought into making the character(s) believable, no matter how unlikely their circumstances actually are. Because I’ve read several books that were definitely worth my time, but I can’t really recall any of the characters themselves. Ya’ know? However there’s those characters that you just SWEAR up and down you know as if they were real. HA! and so without too much rambling, here are my favorite fictional people:

1. Scarlett O’Hara: I have to say, she’s the ultimate paradox. She’s strong willed and independent, but she’s also needy and somewhat of a brat. She’s probably the most famous female character of a fiction novel, and if she were real, she wouldn’t have it any other way. Stylish, fiesty, and probably the closest thing to a feminist in her 19th century setting, Scarlett rocks. I often wonder if she were based on a real person. Needless to say Gone With the Wind is one of my favorites of all time.

2.Lestat de Lioncourt: First, if you don’t know, I love vampires, and things that remind me of them. And Lestat is the model vampire in my mind. His character is so enchanting that it’s almost impossible not to like him. Anne Rice threw her foot into creating this complex creature and I am so in love with her for that. In each of The Vampire Chronicles, Lestat’s presence and even lack thereof really makes the story. In my opinion, he’s very much like Mrs. O’Hara in the sense that he’s a big bundle of contradictions. Also I love “Lestat’s” sense of humor. You have to read The Chronicles (yes each and every one of them) to truly understand why I’m in love with this character.

3.Alex Delaware: Alex is the protagonist in his own series of Jonathan Kellerman novels. He’s smart, attractive and probably has the coolest fake life ever. He’s a child psychologist who helps his detective friend solve gruesome and often cold cases. He’s like a mixture of your favorite professor, your sarcastic best friend, and your brooding boyfriend. <33 Wubs! My favorite thing about him is his relationship with his best friend Milo (the detective). They’re so funny together that I remember once hoping that they’d fall in love or something really awkward would happen between the two of them. LOL that’s how I KNOW I’m too deep in the story when I start making up my own plots with the characters! But if you read as many Delaware as I have you’d understand. LOL

Well, there you have it. These are my imaginary friends from my favorite works of fiction! =P

i adore scarlett o’hara. there will never be a more endearing and timeless version of the stuck up, spoiled, whiny, bitchy, drop-dead gorgeous and vivacious brat <3

yeah, Scarlett is the woman! lol I just finished reading “Scarlett” for the umpteenth time and I still loved it!

Never seen/read Gone with the Wind...=\

How did you go through life without seeing it?!

I only saw Gone with the Wind couple years ago myself.  While I can see why it was praised and all . . . Scarlet O’Hara as well as Vivien Leigh both just turned me off.  XD I like that “Nanny” lady in the movie (can’t remember her name!).  She was just plain awesome.

. . . You wrote top 5.  Where are your other 2? ^_^
